A special episode from North Sutherland at the top of the Scottish mainland. Dougie steps out into the Flow Country, a vast expanse of blanket peat bog. He charts the changes in its land use and its recent designation as a Unesco World Heritage site.
Arlene catches up with sheep farmer Joyce Campbell to see how she has made the switch from traditional hill farming to regenerative agriculture. Arlene also visits Strath Halladale, where she meets a man who swapped city life to run the family croft 37 years ago. She finds out how he has built a thriving timber business and brought jobs to the area.
And at Loch Hope, Leanna meets the biologists working to protect precious sea trout populations.
